Can I smoke in the program?
Yes, you can smoke cigarettes, but vapes are NOT allowed.
Can I see my kids while I’m in the program?
Yes, your children are allowed to come to Sunday service and stay for visitation until 3 pm. Your children are also invited to attend any special event we have on campus. In addition to that, we have “Retreat Weekends” where your children and any female relatives are allowed to come stay on campus with you on a Saturday evening and then attend church and visitation with you the following Sunday.
Do you work with out-of-state transition houses?
Although each transition house is its own entity, we do have relationships with numerous transition houses, both in Arkansas as well as out of state.
Are married couples allowed?
Yes, we accept married couples where both parties are struggling with drugs and/or alcohol. The wife and husband will be allowed to see each other on Sundays for service and visitation, every other Saturday for Couples Class (taught by Richard and Nikki, a married couple who live and work on camp), and at special events or activities.
Can you have a part-time job while in the program?
No, the program is designed for women to strengthen their relationships with Jesus and to learn how to serve the Lord without gaining anything personally in return.
How often can you see or talk to your family?
Residents can see their families each Sunday from 9:45 AM to 3 PM. Each resident will also be allowed one 10-minute phone call per week.
Do you work with the court systems?
Yes, we work with local court offices, alerting them of the resident’s acceptance, progress, and completion of the program.
Do you have an age limit?
You must be at least 18 years old to be accepted into the program. We do not have an upper age limit, but the woman must be able to complete all the required aspects of the program, such as serving and standing for periods of time.
Do we get to keep our own money or does staff keep it?
Yes, each resident is responsible for her own money. This advocates for the resident learning money management skills while she participates in the program.
How much does the program cost?
The program is provided at no cost to the resident. It is FREE.
What kind of work do we do?
We clean a lot of buildings on campus. We also serve at a local food bank, visit a local nursing home, and clean local businesses in the community.
What is the daily routine?
The daily schedule changes based on the day of the week, but in general, breakfast is at 6:30 AM, followed by devotionals at 7 AM, chores at 7:30 AM, silent bible reading at 8 AM, classes from 9-11 AM, lunch at 11:30 AM, afternoon bible study at 12:30, work from 1-3 PM, exercise from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, dinner and then nighttime devotional at 6:30 PM.
What are the medical limitations?
We do require that the woman wanting to enter the program be capable of doing light cleaning and standing for multiple hours at a time.
Do you take people from other states?
Yes, we take people from all over the US. To date, we have accepted women from Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and California.
What kind of prescriptions do you allow?
We are NOT a medical facility, and we do not allow a lot of mental health medications. We DO allow antidepressants as well as medications for general medication conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, etc. Please call the front office 870-799-2525 if you have any questions about medications.
Do you have a blackout period?
Yes, the program has a one-month blackout period where the resident will have no correspondence with friends or family at all. No letters, phone calls, or visits.
Since men and women are housed on the same campus, is the campus safe for women?
Yes, one of our highest priorities is the safety of our female residents. We are technically on the same campus, but we are separated, and the women reside behind a fence on the back of the property.
