My name is Tim Dean. I am the director of the Arkansas State University Convocation Center. I have been affiliated with the University for over 30 years. Over the years we have had many events come and go, and we depend on outside help to work our events. I first became familiar with John 3:16 Ministries during the kick-off dinner for 1st Annual Community Fest. Wayne and Trish Bond invited us to attend the dinner with them. After the dinner was over, the band played in the gym at Valley View High School. At that moment, it just clicked that this would be a great group of people to have help with our events. We knew they would be dependable. We liked the message and the story of what the ministry is about. One thing led to another and Bryan and I met and we formed a fabulous partnership.
We know that we can depend on the guys for the needs we have at the University. Knowing we are participating in helping fulfill a ministry need and seeing God working in that is just incredible. It has been a real blessing, not only from a business perspective but also from a personal perspective, to see how the men’s lives are changed. We get to witness the change over time because we are able to be with guys over the period of the year and see how things develop. We have even had one of our employees that went through the program. You never know how God is leading you in things. Was this all about him? I don’t know, but it’s enough. Things like that don’t happen by accident. I live by the mantra “everything happens for a reason.” I know our coming together has happened for a reason, whatever that reason may be.
